CLASSIC NICARAGUA
8 Days/7 Nights
Managua, Leon, Granada, Ometepe.

Introductory prices 2005-06.

Day 1: Arrive Managua
We will pick you up at the airport and take you to the Hotel Los Robles, where you will spend the night.

Day 2: Managua-Leon
Morning city tour of Managua. After lunch drive to Leon with your guide, stopping en route to visit the ruins of Leon Viejo. Overnight at Hotel El Convento. (B,L)

Day 3: Leon
In the morning explore Leon with your guide. Then, in the afternoon see the geysers of San Jacinto. Overnight at Hotel El Convento. (B,L)

Day 4: Leon-Granada
After breakfast drive to the town of Masaya with your guide to visit the markets where Nicaraguan crafts (and most everything else) are sold. Then on to the “Pueblos Blancos,” the cradle of Nicaragua’s craft tradition. Mid to late afternoon in Granada. Overnight at Casona de los Estrada. (B,L)

Day 5: Granada
Morning horse-drawn carriage tour of Granada with your guide. Afternoon boat tour of Lake Nicaragua. Overnight at Casona de los Estradas. (B,L)

Day 6: Granada
Morning visit with your guide to Mombacho Volcano. Afternoon free to explore Granada on your own. Overnight at Casona de los Estrada. (B,L)

Day 7: Granada-Ometepe-Granada
Early morning departure with your guide for the drive to make to make the ferry to Ometepe Island. All day to explore Ometepe. Late afternoon ferry back to the mainland. Drive back to Granada. Overnight at Casona de los Estrada. (B,L)

Day 8: Departure
Drive to airport for your return flight.

(Hotel taxes, entrance fees to National Parks, museums and places of interest in effect at the time of booking are included unless otherwise specified.) Tax increases or new taxes charged for services that were not taxed in the past may occasion a surcharge. Tours as specified in the itinerary. The services of a professional, bilingual guide days 1-7.

Costs of obtaining passports, visas or tourist cards (tourist cards US$5.00 per person as of Aug 7, 2005).
