Andean Discovery Student Expeditions caters trips specifically to professors and their students. Our university-level trips allow participants to take part in a wide array of research projects, immersion programs, and cultural excursions, all of which are led by scientists, artists, and community leaders who live and work in your chosen region. Through these highly customized trips, students are offered the rare opportunity to take their academic pursuits to the next level, replacing theoretical speculations with unparalleled hands-on study.
We design trips that allow you to engage in hands-on activities with local experts in numerous disciplines, including natural history, marine biology, education, native traditions, agriculture, and culinary arts. You may choose to focus on language immersion, history, culture, or another Study Themes; or you may create your own tour by blending several of our itineraries.
You will have access to private transportation and full-time Andean Discovery Program Leaders who will provide a wealth of information, useful insights, and ensure a safe journey. No matter how broad or specific your interests, we will work with you to design a tour around your curriculum or interests.
Whether talking with a farmer about how to harvest cacao, or spending a day with a botanist learning about rare orchids, your students will return home with a cornucopia of real-world experiences that will be with them for a lifetime.
The Center for Global Education has worked for several years with Andean Discovery. They gave us great advice on itineraries and activities to get our students more involved and understand the topics in the areas we visited. Their guides were highly praised by students and our accompanying faculty.
