Kicker Rock snorkel excursion via boat | San Cristóbal Island, Galápagos
The experience Kicker Rock snorkel excursion via boat
Early in the morning transfer to the dock and navigate an hour and a half to Kicker Rock. The sites are on the two opposite sides of the Kicker Rock lava formations, one of the most outstanding diving sites in the Galapagos. The walls of Kicker Rock are connected below the surface by a 60 ft. deep channel that runs between them. On the surface, catch sight of the many birds inhabiting the towers emerging from the ocean floor, such as Nazca boobies, blue-footed boobies, and frigate birds. Once in the water, keep an eye out for Galapagos sharks, hammerheads, and sea turtles. This afternoon, disembark at the beach, enjoy a swim or snorkel, keeping an eye out for young sea turtles and rays, which frequent this protected bay. On land you can observe Black-necked Stilts, Ruddy Turnstones, Whimbrels, and other sandpiper species. Return to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno later this afternoon.
